The Red-i-Laser Training Tool Is Ideal For Indoor Use
With the innovative Red-i-Laser unit, you can now set your scope crosshairs or sights with the utmost of precision. However, it is also an extremely useful laser training tool for indoor use. A laser training tool is an invaluable way to learn to aim properly and accurately.
To use the Red-i unit as an aiming or training tool, activate it and aim at a target that is at least 50m away in low light. Practise to keep the dot as still as possible; you will only now realise how difficult it is and how much you do in fact move your barrel while aiming. Keep in mind that many modern rifles have slightly misaligned chambers. Even if your Red-i unit’s laser dot is centred on the crosshairs of the telescope, you may still find the grouping is off-centre when shooting with live ammunition. The reverse is also true, so if you have zeroed your rifle with live ammunition first and thereafter you chamber the Red-i unit, you will find that the laser dot now shines off-centre. Note this difference carefully at a distance of at least 25m and from then on, always set the scope accordingly.
Red-i Short Flash System (SFS) was specifically designed for indoor target training, using no live ammunition. This enables you to practise aiming noiselessly and cost-effectively. Unlike the bore sight, SFS makes contact with the firing pin, emitting a laser pulse that strikes the target on the exact point you had aimed at. SFS is offered for chamber load calibres upward of 223. Your weapon is already Red-i SFS-compatible and would not have to be altered in any way.
